Tickets are still available for “An Afternoon in Provence” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Pig + Fig Café in White Rock. The fundraising event is put on by the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation and Pig + Fig Café as part of A Taste of Knowledge, which raises money for all Los Alamos Public Schools. Tickets to “An Afternoon in Provence” are $60 and can be purchased at www.tok.givesmart.com

While the five wine and food pairing stations are the stars of the show, they are not the only attractions. The event will feature silent and live auctions, with items generously donated by local business and individuals, including:

  • Weekend condo stays in Salida and Pagosa Springs, Colo.
  • Virtual reality experience
  • Helicopter ride
  • Jewelry
  • Spa services and gift baskets
  • Albuquerque Isotopes and NM United sports packages
  • Concert tickets
  • Restaurant certificates, and much more

In addition, afternoon event goers will have a chance to purchase tickets for a fun wine pull. Wine pull tickets will be available at the event for $20. Each ticket allows the buyer to pull an expertly selected bottle of wine of an unknown identity. All wines will be valued at $20+, with more than half valued at $25+, and one $100 bottle of wine for a lucky winner!
