SUMMER CONCERT SERIES NEWS

The 2019 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series continues it’s historic run of bands and record-breaking concert attendance. With over 50,000, and counting, concertgoers enjoying free shows in the family friendly atmosphere at Ashley Pond Pavilion, the Sancre Productions team presents its twelfth concert of the series featuring Leftover Salmon.

For the past quarter-century, Colorado’s Leftover Salmon has established itself as one of the great purveyors of Americana music, digging deep into the well that supplies its influences; rock ‘n’ roll, folk, bluegrass, Cajun, soul, zydeco, jazz and blues. They are firmly settled in the long lineage of bands that defy simple categorization, instead setting their own musical agenda.

During Leftover Salmon’s 25-plus years as a band they have headlined shows and festivals from coast to coast, released nine albums, and maintained a vibrant, relevant and influential voice in the music world. Over that time, Leftover Salmon’s sound has grown and evolved while staying true to the roots and guiding spirit of the band’s founding members – mandolinist/singer Drew Emmitt and guitarist/singer Vince Herman.

The Leftover Salmon Concert is sponsored by Toyota of Santa Fe.

Friday’s Opening Band features performances from DK and the Affordables. DK & The Affordables have established themselves as a go-to act for Northern New Mexican entertainment. They have backed nine-time Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale, the “Ultimate Elvis”, Justin Shandor, country artist Kerry Wallace, and Colombia’s original Rockabilly star, Phil Rocker. They have shared the stage with Los Straitjackets, Junior Brown, Eddie Clendening, The Rocketz and Three Bad Jacks to name but a few.

“We are proud to partner with Toyota of Santa Fe to bring Leftover Salmon to the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series Lineup and the 2019 Los Alamos County Fair & Rodeo” said Sancre Productions spokeswoman Monica Griego. “As its 12th concert in the Series, the Sancre Productions team is working in tandem with various Los Alamos County Departments to ensure public safety, ADA accommodations, free parking and shuttle services and a diverse offering of Food Truck Vendors.”

The Youth Performance by Los Alamos Jazz Pro ect starts at 6 p.m.  DK & The Affordables perform at 6:30 p.m. and Leftover Salmon performs at 8 p.m. The New Mexico Craft Distillery Garden will offer craft cocktails and beer from Rolling Still Distillery Bros., Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op., and Santa Fe Brewing Company.
