JJAB NEWS

The Los Alamos Juvenile Justice Advisory Board (JJAB) is raising funds to provide school supplies for Los Alamos Public Schools students.

It is already time to start preparing for the upcoming school year. JJAB is starting its annual campaign, asking the community for financial donations that will be used to purchase supplies for the students at LAPS elementary schools, middle school, and high school.

Last year, with the support of individuals, local businesses and organizations, JJAB was able to raise $3,700. The funds were used to purchase notebooks, backpacks, calculators, emergency snacks, pencils, scissors, earbuds for testing, binders, and so much more for students!

JJAB Resource Specialists will again be working directly with the schools to pinpoint student needs. JJAB will then use the donations to purchase the needed items and deliver them to the schools.

There are two ways the community can donate to support this project:

  1. Visit the JJAB website and donate through PayPal  www.losalamosjjab.com
  2. Mail a check to Los Alamos JJAB, PO Box 4716, Los Alamos, NM 87547 (Make checks payable to the Los Alamos JJAB and note on the check “back-to-school project”)

Questions? Contact JJAB at (505) 709-8125. All funds donated will go directly to purchasing the school supplies.

Los Alamos JJAB is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Since 2004 the Los Alamos JJAB has been funding and organizing programs, services and activities that have a positive impact on youth, families and the community.
