This year’s Rio Arriba County Fair already has 34 steers and heifers on the books to be shown by young people July 26 which is double the normal number of beef animals. Organizers are inviting the Rio Arriba County and Los Alamos County community to think about buying grain-finished beef at the fair to support the young people of Rio Arriba County 4H who raise and show the animals. Only about 10 will sell in the auction ring which will leave great opportunities for youth to sell directly to interested buyers.
