Bandelier National Monument Wilderness Ranger Lori Young has released the list of guided wilderness hikes planned for the coming months. Registration and other requirements are at the end of the list.
Sat. July 20 – Frijolito to Rim Trail (5 miles roundtrip/1,200 ft. elevation change)

Sun. July 28 – Falls Trail (4 miles roundtrip)

Sun. Oct 20 – Bandelier Wilderness Day: Falls Trail (4 miles roundtrip)
Celebrate 43 years of Wilderness at Bandelier and discover how designated wilderness became a part of the monument. Join Wilderness Ranger Lori on the anniversary of that designation in 1976! Meet @ 11am @ Falls TH

- All mileage information is round trip
- Participants must wear sturdy boots or hiking shoes and be in good physical condition to handle elevation gains in and out of the canyon. Bring a pack including 2-3 liters of water, multiple snacks/bars (in some cases a lunch), a rain jacket, sunscreen, hat, any necessary medications. Safety briefings will be given at the start of each hike.
