The University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) will close in observance of Independence Day Thursday and Friday, July 4-5, 2019. There will be no classes or activities, and buildings will be closed.

In addition to the federal July 4 holiday, UNM President Dr. Garnet Stokes approved Friday, July 5 as a holiday in recognition of UNM employees. Last April, Stokes announced “The efforts of our faculty and staff are much appreciated, and we would like to recognize our employees with this additional day off for their hard work.”

The UNM-LA campus, at 4000 University Dr., continues registration for the Fall semester, which begins August 19. For class information, visit losalamos.unm.edu/academics/class-schedule.html.

UNM–Los Alamos is an innovative, rigorous, and affordable comprehensive branch community college that provides foundations for transfer, leading-edge career programs, and lifelong learning opportunities.
