Buildings on Longview Drive that have been red-tagged by Los Alamos County since September 2017 as being unsafe are in the process of being demolished. County officials confirmed that demolition permits have been pulled for the property which is owned by Larry E. Handy.  At the time the buildings were red-tagged, the County’s Chief Building Official Michael Arellano expressed concern that columns around the buildings were going to fall and that roofs were unstable. ctures examined and certified as safe by a structural engineer.
