Avid Los Alamos fisherman Claire Swinhoe holds a 10-lb Chinook salmon she caught this week about six miles off the coast of British Columbia, Canada. She went on to catch two more. Swinhoe was vacationing with her husband, Martyn. Swinhoe is one of a growing number of women in the Los Alamos area who are serious fishermen including her longtime friend Maire O’Neill of the Los Alamos Reporter and Los Alamos Middle School teacher Rita Sanchez.
