Viome’s Ryan Toma and Nathan Duval are members of the research
and development team who work on product development and clinical
studies. The team will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Betty Ehart Senior Center to answer questions about their program and recruit participants for a study.
“We are currently recruiting for a study which aims to understand how human gene expression varies across different populations,” said Toma. “Our study is trying to recruit participants from diverse populations specifically over the age of 50.”
The participants will schedule a time with Viome staff to collect a small
amount of blood from a finger prick. Those participants will have the
opportunity to select their choice of; a free HbA1c reading, a free
activity tracker or a $20 Amazon gift card.
The Betty Ehart Senior Center is located at 1101 Bathtub Row.
