Los Alamos Police Department will host their annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 in the parking lot on the north side of the Justice Center on Central Avenue.

The service will honor New Mexico law enforcement officers who lost theri lives in the line of duty in the past year. The public is invited to the service which will conclude around 9:30 a.m.

At 10 a.m. following the event and continuing until 1 p.m., the LAPD Law Enforcement Officers Wives will host their annual “Thin Blue Line” tape event. The group will place a thin blue line on the rear window of vehicles for communitu members who wish to show support and appreciation for our local law enforcement officers.

The group will also be selling New Mexico Special Olympics Law Enforcement t-shirts, license plates and pins with the proceeds going to NM Special Olympics.
