LAHS E-Sports Team Takes First In State Competition

The Los Alamos High School E-Sports team finished their inaugural year with top honors Saturday, as the SMITE team took first place against Kirtland Central at the State Finals. Pictured are, from left, Coach Jason Rutledge, Ben Ortiz, Aaron Lauritzen, Joe Ortiz (Team Captain), Jaryn Newman, Evan Shipley, Jeremiah Palmer-Scott and Dusty Young Associate Director of the New Mexico Activities Association. The Rocket League team finished 8th in the state and League of Legends made it to the semi-finals.
