Photographer Stephen Lee called this photo ‘A Reflection of Faith’. ‘A pilgrim returning from the El Santuario de Chimayo on Good Friday. Note also the small child carrying a cross, which is a common sight during this time in northern New Mexico. That family is heading to the church while those facing the camera are returning from it having walked there from some untold miles away.
