Charette Lakes: Fishing was good using PowerBait for trout.

Cimarron River: Stream flow near Cimarron on Monday morning was 17.2 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using Fire Balls, bead head hare’s ears, San Juan worms and red zebra midges for trout.

Clayton Lake:  Fishing was fair using PowerBait, worms and salmon eggs for trout. We had no reports on other species. The boat ramp is closed due to low water conditions.

Conchas Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Costilla Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Cowles Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Coyote Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Eagle Nest Lake: Fishing was fair to good using Pistol Petes, PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout. Fishing was fair to good using crank baits, swim baits and PowerBait for northern pike. We had no reports on other species.

Eagle Rock Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout.

Fawn Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Gallinas River: Fishing was fair to good using worms and wooly buggers for trout.

Hopewell Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Lake Alice: Fishing was good using salmon peach and garlic scented PowerBait for trout.

Lake Maloya: Fishing was very good using PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout up to 14 inches.

Los Pinos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Maxwell Lake 13: Fishing was fair using PowerBait for trout.

Monastery Lake: Fishing was fair to good PowerBait, worms, bead head hare’s ears and Pistol Petes for trout.

Morphy Lake: Closed for a renovation project on the dam. Work is scheduled to be completed in June, but no firm opening date has been set.

Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos on Monday morning was 149 cfs. Fishing was fair using worms, prince nymphs, egg patterns and San Juan worms for trout.

Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday morning was 52.9 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using copper John Barrs, poundmeisters, PowerBait and worms for trout. Fishing at the hatchery pond was good using PowerBait.

Rio Grande: Stream flow at the Taos Junction Bridge was 474 cfs. Trout fishing above the John Dunn bridge area was fair using caddis dries and nymphs and bead head soft hackles for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Rio Hondo: Stream flow near Valdez on Monday morning was 21.8 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using small red copper John Barrs for trout.

Rio Mora: Stream flow on Monday morning was 37.6 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using worms, Fire Balls, egg patterns and copper John Barrs for trout.

Rio Pueblo: Stream flow on Monday morning near Penasco was 47.7 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Santa Cruz Reservoir: Fishing was good using PowerBait, bead head hare’s ears, Fisher Chick spinners, Panther Martin spinners, Kastmasters and Pistol Petes for trout.

Shuree Ponds: Closed for the season.

Springer Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Storrie Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout.

Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Ute Lake: Fishing was good using jerk baits, swim baits, jig and minnow combinations and worms for walleye. Jarod Rael of Tucumcari caught four 18-inch walleye while fishing from the bank. He was using minnows and worms. We had no reports on other species.

Alumni Pond: Our only report was of a carp caught by an angler using pack bait with corn.

Bear Canyon Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait, worms and salmon eggs for trout. Fishing was good using liver and homemade dough bait for catfish. We had no reports on other species.

Bill Evans Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Caballo Lake: Fishing was good using liver and cut bait for catfish. Fishing was fair to good using minnows, small plastics, spoons and crank baits for a mix of white bass, crappie and walleye. A few largemouth bass were caught by anglers using creature baits, jigs and crank baits.

Elephant Butte Lake: Fishing was very good using minnows and jigs for crappie. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass picked up a bit from the previous week. Successful anglers were using jerk baits, tubes, jigs, swim baits, creature baits, crank baits and spinner baits. Fishing was good using crank baits and minnows for white bass walleye. Fishing was good using liver, homemade dough bait, night crawlers and cut bait for catfish. The surface temp was in the high 50s.

Escondida Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, Pistol Petes and bead head nymphs for trout. Fishing for all other species was slow.

Gila River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 260 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Glenwood Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Lake Roberts: Fishing was fair to good using worms, liver and homemade dough bait for catfish. Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, worms, wooly buggers and Pistol Petes for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Percha Dam: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Quemado Lake: Fishing was very good using PowerBait and worms for trout.

Rancho Grande Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Rio Grande: Stream flow below Elephant Butte Monday morning was 0.00 cfs. Fishing on the river above Elephant Butte was good using liver and cut bait for catfish.

Snow Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait for trout.

Young Pond: The pond remains closed for cleaning and repair.

Alto Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait, worms and spinners for trout. Fishing was fair to good using spinners, worms, tubes, crank baits and spoons for largemouth bass. We had no reports on other species.

Black River: Stream flow at Malaga on Monday morning was 46.3 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Blue Hole Park Pond: Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout.

Bonito Lake: Closed until further notice by the city of Alamogordo due to fire damage. It appears now that the lake will be out of commission until the spring of 2020.

Bosque Redondo Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait and worms for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Bottomless Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Brantley Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Carlsbad Municipal Lake: Fishing was fair using worms and PowerBait for a mixed bag of trout, bluegill and catfish.
