COUNTY NEWS
The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities announces new hours for the Customer Care Center. Beginning Monday, Apr. 15, the Customer Care Center will open at 8 a.m. but will close at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
According to Deputy Utilities Manager Robert Westervelt, the Customer Care representatives will still work a full 8-hour day. By closing the windows and turning the phones off at 4 p.m., staff is afforded time without interruption to research and respond to requests made throughout the day, process payments, and follow-up on outstanding issues. “We believe this extra hour will allow us to provide better quality service to our customers,” stated Westervelt.
