United Church Raises Funds For Spring Break Homebuilding Trip To Mexico

The United Church of Los Alamos is hosting a free dinner Saturday evening at which it hopes to raise $20,000 for a mission trip to Mexico to build homes during spring break. A few spaces are still available for the dinner but reservations are required.

Food for the event has been donated by the following local businesses:

  • Pajarito Brewpub – Salad & Bread
  • Cottonwood on the Greens – Perogies
  • El Parasol – Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas
  • Bob’s Bodacious Barbecue – Pulled Pork
  • Pasta Paradiso – Pasta Salad
  • Sirphey – Vegetable Dish
  • Ruby K’s – Beverages
  • Pig & Fig – Dessert

In addition, auctioneer Mike Lippiatt will auction many items including: an original painting by Betty Nance Smith; an art glass bowl; a handmade wood cutting board; Dessert of the Month; and gift baskets from Pet Pangaea and the Los Alamos Coop Market.
