May 30, 2020 will be here before you know it. Are you ready for what comes next after high school graduation?
Find out your options at the Los Alamos High School Junior Parent Night on Monday, March 11. Current juniors and their parents are invited to attend this presentation from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in the Speech Theater.
“The LAHS Counseling Department hosts Junior Parent Night for juniors and their parents to learn about their options after graduation,” said Guidance Counselor Cindy Black. “We will review the college admission process for both two- and four-year colleges, technical and vocational school options, the idea of taking a GAP year, and military opportunities.”
In addition, Mrs. Black and the other counselors, Cristin Haake and Dawn Watkins, will discuss college searches, SAT and ACT tests, admissions, financial aid and scholarships, summer programs, dual enrollment and helpful websites. “Now is the time to start thinking about these important steps,” explained Mrs. Black. “This is an opportunity for students to see what their options are, how to achieve these goals and the financing required to get there.”
