Michael Grimler, co-owner with wife Kathy, of Desert Wind Aeronautical, recently told the Rotary Club of Los Alamos about their company’s work in the rapidly-emerging commercial use of drones.  In addition to military use, drones are now prominent in civilian use by hobbyists and by commercial enterprises providing aerial photography for the movie industry, mining, real estate, insurance claims, inspections, golfing, agriculture, security, land surveys, security, weddings and other special events, and search and rescue with thermal cameras.
