RTD Blue Bus Service Temporarily Halted Due To Bomb Threat

At 11:05 a.m. Thursday a male caller into the North Central Regional Transit District dispatch indicated that a bomb had been placed to detonate at 11:20 a.m. on either the 200 Santa Fe, 300 Taos or 400 Los Alamos bus.

“Police were notified and each bus was evacuated immediately. No bomb exploded at 11:20 a.m.,” RTD spokesman said. “Meanwhile buses currently on all routes have been evacuated and temporarily halted while vehicle inspections take place. We will advise as service have resumed.”

Los Alamos Police Department Cmdr. Preston Ballew told the Los Alamos Reporter that LAPD is not involved with the threar situation.
