TOTH NEWS

Parents are invited and encouraged to bring their children to Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church, 3900 Trinity Drive, for the annual the Children’s Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Dec. 1.

This child friendly-community event is for students in kindergarten through 6th grade, where children shop and have their gifts wrapped. Children start in Sherrill Hall where they prepare their list of people to shop for, complete their gift tags and get a shopping bag. Parents and younger children hang out in the old parish hall where they enjoy coffee, treats and coloring. And in Kelly Hall children shop and pay for their gifts and elves wrap them!

This is the 15th  year for this event which encourages children to learn about giving and empowers them to learn about decision making, independent of their parents or siblings. Help is available for children who need assistance. And Elves wrap the gifts after they are selected.

This is a huge recycling event; all like new or gently use items have been donated by our community and are reasonably priced. In an effort to be a little more environmentally friendly this year, we encourage children to bring their own shopping bag and parents to bring their own reusable coffee cup.

Questions about this community event may be directed to the church office at 662-5107.
