Alan Wilson Arrested In Texas

Police in San Angelo, Texas have arrested Alan Wilson formerly of Los Alamos, Los Alamos Police Cmdr. Preston Ballew confirmed this afternoon.

Wilson faces 10 counts of criminal sexual penetration in the first degree with a child under 13 and 20 counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor, third degree – child under 13 – clothed.

Attorney Brendan McDonald filed a motion to cancel an arrest order issued by Los Alamos Magistrate Judge Pat Casados but Judge Casados denied that motion. McDonald’s motion said his client was unaware of the complaint filed Sept. 25 until recently and that on learning of its existence, Wilson had immediately retain counsel. He said Wilson has legitimate defenses to the charges and looks forward to an adjudication on the merits.

Cmdr. Ballew confirmed that Wilson will eventually be extradited to New Mexico.
