Board Of Utilities Chair Robert Gibson Is Guest Speaker For April 16 LWV Lunch With A Leader

LWVLA NEWS RELEASE

The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos (LWVLA) invites the community to its Lunch with a Leader event, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall on Sage Loop. AND yes, this is a change from a few days ago, but we are excited about having Robert present the newest information and appreciate that he was willing and able to step in when our scheduled speaker had to cancel.

So, this month’s leader is Los Alamos County Board of Public Utilities (BPU) Chair Robert Gibson, who will be discussing Los Alamos’ issues with public utilities in light of changes that have been made.

Gibson previously served on the BPU 20 years ago, between serving terms on the County Council. He has also served on several other public boards and committees and as a bill analyst at the New Mexico State Legislature.

Gibson is a physicist and electrical engineer. Retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory, he continues to work on technical projects and hobbies and remains an active pilot, hiker, and traveler.
