What would happen if an asteroid hit Earth? How can we protect ourselves from interplanetary threats? How must we look to the future to avoid the same fate as the dinosaurs? Come to Los Alamos High School Astronomy Club’s presentation on planetary defense to find the answers to all these questions!
Program 2: Light Pollution — How We Lost the Night Sky

Over the last 100 years, light pollution has turned a night sky that once inspired into a dull, gray mass. Explore how light pollution has progressed over the last century, and how it has affected the economy, science, and natural world, and how we can restore the sky that our ancestors told stories of.
