County: Sections Of Ashley Pond Park To Close Beginning March 16 To Allow Concrete Replacement, Safety Improvements

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space Division announces that sections of Ashley Pond Park will be temporarily closed to the public beginning the week of March 16 to allow crews to complete scheduled concrete replacement and safety improvements throughout the park.

The project will include the removal and replacement of aging and damaged concrete in high- traffic areas. These improvements are part of the County’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, accessible, and high-quality public spaces for residents and visitors. The project is
estimated to last three weeks, and the designated area will remain closed, weather and
construction conditions permitting. The contractor will work in the area from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.
The pathways and surrounding work zones will be inaccessible to the public for safety reasons.
During this time, all other park amenities will remain open. The County appreciates the
community’s patience while these important upgrades are completed.
