Meeting will focus on monitoring storm water runoff from sites associated with Los Alamos National Laboratory legacy cleanup
The Department of Energy Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office (EM-LA) and its legacy cleanup contractor, Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos, LLC (N3B), will host an annual meeting to report on the status of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Storm Water Individual Permit (NM0030759) issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The meeting will be held at the Cities of Gold in Santa Fe (Pojoaque), on Wednesday, March 4, 2-3:30 p.m. MST, as well as virtually on Microsoft Teams.

The Individual Permit authorizes the discharge of storm water from LANL sites where legacy waste operations occurred during the Manhattan Project and Cold War era.
Presentation topics for the meeting include an overview of the 2025 Individual Permit monitoring season and an update on corrective actions. The meeting will conclude with a public comment and question and answer session.
