Yesterday’s student-led march and rally was a beautiful culmination to a difficult week. The students were well organized, peaceful yet ardent, and above all strong. The speakers — oh, the speakers! Fiery, inspiring, and so ELOQUENT. I saw determination in all the faces in the crowd. Grit and resolve. A heartening contrast to “Chief” Sgambellone’s pathetic, cowardly, and ill-informed policy statement issued just a few days earlier.

Thank you, students, for showing courage in the face of evil. Thank you, everyone else who attended and supported the walkout. You give us all hope.
