Dear Democrats of Los Alamos County,
Do you want to be involved and ensure that Democrats are elected this midterm election season? Do you have statewide candidates that you support and want to see succeed? The Pre-Primary local (Los Alamos) Convention is approaching, and we invite you to attend! The Convention purpose is to elect and nominate delegates to go to the Statewide Pre-Party Convention. At the Pre-Primary Convention, delegates and candidates from across New Mexico gather in one spot to lead our party into the future and discuss what we stand for!
Delegates will do the following:
1. Nominate Democratic candidates whose names will appear on the NM Primary ballot in June. Delegates elected at the county-level can vote for primary candidates’ ballot qualification and ballot position.
2. Vote on whether to adopt the new DPNM Platform presented by the State Platform
Committee.
3. Deliberate, debate, and vote on any DPNM Resolutions presented at the convention.
All county residents who are registered Democrats in our county 30 days before the convention are eligible to run and vote at the convention. Come and meet some of the candidates and either run to be a Statewide delegate or vote for your fellow Los Alamos Democrats to represent Los Alamos County.

Registration Start Time: 12:30pm
Meeting Start Time: 1:00pm – Meeting will be called to order and attendees will be able to hearfrom candidates.
Vote Begin Time: approximately 2:00pm

If you are interested in being a nominating state convention delegate to represent Los Alamos County at the DPNM 2026 State Pre-Primary Nominating Convention, it will be held Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Inn of the Mountain Gods. More information to follow.
