LTE: Mourning In America…

I began wearing black in public after Renée Good died.  I am writing now after Alex Pretti’s similar death on Saturday.  I plan on a period of mourning through the first anniversary of Ms. Good’s death.  I am mourning many other things, including:

* Losing the rule of law in the United States;

* US renunciation of international law;

* Squandering US alliances;

* Squandering US leadership in science;

* Failure of society’s leaders to restore the rule of law; and

* Acquiescence by our populace as we squander the inheritance
  bequeathed to us by our forefathers.
