Sow Wildflower Seeds With PEEC Jan. 26

PEEC NEWS RELEASE

PEEC invites community members to take part in Sowing Wildflower Seeds, a free. hands-on workshop focused on rewilding local landscapes, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Hosted in partnership with Los Alamos Bee City and the Los Alamos Seed Library, this interactive program empowers participants to become stewards of the ecosystem by planting native wildflowers that support bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators. Attendees will learn how to choose the right native seed mixes, prepare soil effectively, and sow for long‐term success—whether they’re working with a backyard garden, a small patch of earth, or a shared community space.

This workshop is more than a gardening lesson. It’s an invitation to take part in restoring biodiversity, strengthening local habitats, and creating beautiful, low‐maintenance spaces that benefit both people and wildlife. Participants will leave with practical knowledge, inspiration, and the confidence to cultivate their own pollinator‐friendly wildflower patch.
