Local Love Holiday Contest Announces Week 4 Winner; Keep Snapping, Tagging, And Sharing

Places and Spaces Los Alamos is excited to announce the Week 4 winner of the Local Love Holiday “Snap, Tag, and Share” contest! Congratulations to Ashley Mayfield Applegate, who has won the Week 4 $100 Local Love Gift Card for showing her Local Love at Beef + Leaf Cafe. This gift card may be used for purchases at any of the 120+ local businesses in Los Alamos and White Rock, and is the fourth of many prizes to be distributed throughout the holiday season.

The Local Love Holiday Contest can be entered by visiting local businesses in the Los Alamos and White Rock area, snapping a photo or selfie, tagging it in a social media post with the #locallovela and @placesandspacesLA tags, and sharing it on your public timeline. Weekly $100 Gift Cards will be awarded throughout the contest, with more than $ 1,500 in total prizes.

The contest is ongoing, and we invite everyone to participate! Entries can be submitted at any time and as many times as you want until the entry deadline on January 9, 2026. Entries for the weekly prize drawing are accepted until midnight on Fridays, with winners announced the following Sunday.

All valid entries are cumulative. If you didn’t win the weekly drawing this week, your entry is still in the running for both subsequent weekly drawings and the Grand Prizes awarded in January.

Posts that include an optional comment, review, testimonial, or story or video may also qualify your entry for consideration for selected Grand Prizes. While weekly winners receive a $100 Local Love Gift Card through a random drawing, Grand Prizes will be awarded in January to all entries received during the contest period. Entries received during the duration of the contest are eligible for these prizes.

  • Most Posts Submitted: Awarded to the player who submits the highest total number of qualifying posts (visits to unique businesses), earning a $250 Local Love Gift Card.
  • Best Overall Story: Awarded to the post with the most compelling, enthusiastic, and interesting testimonial/comment, earning a $150 Local Love Gift Card.
  • Highest Receipt Total: Awarded to the single valid entry that includes a photo of the receipt with the highest total purchase (business name, date, and total must be clearly visible) and wins a $150 Local Love Gift Card.
  • Other Grand Prize categories include tastiest-looking meal, most unique or unusual purchase, best-looking drink, and best video short.
