Maxwell Tenbrook Sandford III, 44, of White Rock is scheduled for arraignment Dec. 15 before District Judge Anastasia Martin Dec. 15 on three counts of second degree criminal sexual contact with a minor aged 13-18 by a person in a position of authority, two counts of third degree criminal sexual contact with a minor aged 13-18, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Sandford was originally charged in Los Alamos Magistrate Court where he waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to the District Court. He initially faced four additional charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but those charges were dismissed by the District Attorney’s Office.
The case is being prosecuted by First Judicial District Attorney’s Office senior trial attorney Elizabeth Counce and Mr. Sandford’s lawyer is Kathryn T. Fischer.
