United Church Of Los Alamos Invites Community To Experience Advent And Christmas Events

UNITED CHURCH OF LOS ALAMOS NEWS RELEASE

The United Church of Los Alamos invites the community to experience Advent at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.

Advent is a time to prepare people’s hearts for the arrival of Jesus Christ. Each week leading up to Christmas, the church will light the advent candles signifying Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.

Worship includes music and singing, prayer, a children’s moment and a sermon.

Other opportunities this month:

  • Thrift Shop’s Everything Christmas Sale, 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 6, in Graves Hall.
  • Women’s Holiday potluck, 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in Graves Hall; all women in the
    community are invited.
  • Rose Street Worship at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, a contemporary service in Graves
    Hall includes dinner for all at 5:15 p.m.
  • Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship at 5 p.m. Dec. 24, a beautiful service for the whole
    family (communion served).

The sanctuary at 2525 Canyon Road is fully accessible. On most Sundays, worship is followed
