2025 Los Alamos Employee Art Showcase Opens Thursday At Step Up Gallery With Reception From 4-6 PM.

Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library is proud to announce the second biennial Los Alamos County Employee Art Showcase, an exhibit of art and photography, opening Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. Members of the community are invited to attend the Opening Reception from 4 – 6 p.m. in the upper-level rotunda outside the Gallery. Light refreshments will be served. This year, current and retired County employees are featured in this artistically talented group. The Art Showcase will be open through January 7, 2026.

Art on display includes: large carved wooden bowls, end tables, and a carved crucifixion mby Raul Manzanares (LAFD Captain); a carving by Ramon Trujillo (Transit Dispatcher); photographs by Leslie Bucklin (Asst. Public Information Officer), Wendy Parker (Parks Superintendent), and Camille Chavez (Sr. Office Specialist); quilts and fiber collages by Katy Korkos (retired Library Program Specialist); pastels and block prints by Ken Nebel (Library Associate); oil and pastel paintings by Rachel Pearson (Library Associate); watercolor paintings by Sara Canfield (Sr. Visual Information Specialist); wooden bowls and vases by Mindy Gray (Payroll Specialist); an ink drawing and fiber quilt by Abbey Hayward (Water and Energy Conservation Coordinator); crocheted fiber art by Chelsea Ashcraft (CSD Sr. Management Analyst); torn paper collages by Rashal McElderry (Sr. Librarian-Digital Services); digital collages by Oliver Pruitt (Library Student Associate); and wooden crosses by Ronald Martinez.
