AMERICAN LEGION NEWS RELEASE
Wreaths Across America is a national program designed to honor fallen veterans of all wars at the national, state and local cemeteries. The mission of Wreaths Across America, “Remember, Honor, Teach” is carried out, in part, by coordinating wreath laying in all states ceremonies, and the 24 national cemeteries on foreign soil.
This year’s ceremony will be conducted on December 13, 2025 at 10:00AM throughout New Mexico, and specifically at Los Alamos’ Guaje Pines Cemetery, which is officially recognized by Wreaths Across America.
The American Legion, Frank G. Frainier Post 90, American Legion Riders Chapter 19 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 90 in Los Alamos are honored to carry out the Wreaths Across America program in Los Alamos County. The wreaths cost $17.00 each, are tax deductible and will be placed on the veterans’ gravesites at the Guaje Pines Cemetery at the December 13 ceremony. The current goal is to obtain sponsorships for 435 wreaths.
Wreaths may be selected for specific veterans. Any extra Wreaths beyond those needed at Guaje Pines will be transported and used at Santa Fe National Cemetery. You are cordially invited to be a sponsor of wreaths, 10 wreaths totaling $170, or as you see fit for this ceremony.
Veterans and families at the American Legion Post 90 in Los Alamos appreciate your consideration and look forward to your kind contribution.
Editor’s note: American Legion Post 90 still has some 170 wreaths available for sponsorship at $17 each that need to be ordered by Nov. 22. Please consider supporting them by ordering through the QR code or at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/ If you have never been at Guaje Pines Cemetery for the Wreaths Across America annual ceremony, join us this year on Dec. 13. You don’t have to order a wreath to attend and if you are unable to attend, the wreath you purchase will be placed for you on the grave of a veteran.
