If you are not a Y Member, you will add a membership as Non Member Participant. From there enter your info, submit and then register for the 5K.
Adults 14 and up: $37/$27 Y Member 13 and under: $17
Day of registration:
November 1, 8:30-9:30am (only) at Los Alamos Co-op.
Adults 14 and up: $42/$32 Y Member 13 and under: $22
Pre-registration race packet pick up will be Thursday October 30, 9am-6:30pm at the Main YMCA (1450 Iris Street)
El Día de Los Muertos or The Day of the Dead is a holiday in which people are able to honor their loved ones who have passed on before them. It is a way to connect with those loved ones and to celebrate their lives. It is celebrated in Mexico as well as other Hispanic cultures and allows a connection between the living and the dead.
The YMCA Día de Los Muertos 5K Run will be a spectacular way for us to honor our loved ones who have passed on before us. It will include an Ofrenda with candles to light for the loved ones we are running to honor. There will also be a board On which pictures of loved ones can be placed as well. It will allow us to celebrate those that have gone before us in a fun, unique and active way.
There will be prizes for top finishers as well as best costume, so dress to impress! There will also be some fun activities for the kids at the end of the race as well! Proceeds will go to the YMCA to help support their after-school activities, summer programs as well as sports programs for our youth.
Please come and join us for The Y’s second Día De Los Muertos 5k on Saturday, Nov, 1 at 10am at The Los Alamos Cooperative Market, so that we may Run to Remember.
Local vendors and artisans will be there. Even if you are not participating in the 5K, please come celebrate the racers, Día de Los Muertos and have some fun.

Start at Los Alamos Co-op to Canyon Rim Trail up to near Los Alamos Fire Department station 6 and back.
