LAFSE NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos Federation of School Employees (LAFSE) proudly endorses Margie Serrato for District 1 and Antonio R. Jaurigue for District 2 for Los Alamos Public Schools Board of Education.
These endorsements were issued following a questionnaire and where candidates for Los Alamos Public Schools Board of Education were invited to share their vision for our District and what talents and experiences they are able to utilize to best serve the students, parents, and educational staff of Los Alamos Public Schools.
LAFSE supports candidates who value educators, prioritize student success, and are committed to strong, safe, and equitable schools. Both Mr. Jaurigue and Ms. Serrato share these priorities and bring experience, integrity, and vision needed to strengthen our district.
Jaurigue brings a history of service as a former member and president of the Los Alamos Public Schools Board of Education. He is a respected community leader who advocates for fair funding, classroom autonomy, and opportunities for professional growth. His steady leadership and knowledge of district operations make him a trusted choice for continued success.
Serrato is an accomplished educator and consultant with broad experience in multiple levels of
education, including higher education advising. She has a strong record of promoting equity, well-being, and academic excellence, which will prioritize student well-being and the overall educational ecosystem of our schools.
We urge Los Alamos voters in District 1 to vote for Serrato and those in District 2 to vote for Jaurigue by Election Day, November 4.
