Is life beyond Earth science fiction or science fact? The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites you to find out at Aliens!, a special planetarium program on Friday, October 24 from 7 to 8 PM at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Led by astrophysicist Kelcey Davis, this exciting, Halloween-season show takes audiences on a spooky journey through our skies in search of friendly neighbors.

Discover astronomy’s fascinating history of “alien hunting,” travel through our solar system to examine the potential for life, and consider the biggest question of all: Are we alone in the universe?

● Note: Planetarium events are generally not recommended for children under 5.

About the Presenter
Kelcey Davis is a physics PhD candidate and observational astrophysicist at the University of Connecticut. She began her PhD work shortly after the launch of NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and contributed to the first deep-field image taken with Webb as part of the CEERS (Cosmic Evolution Early Release Science Survey) team. She recently earned 60 hours of Webb observation time for her own program, Star formation from Photometry through the Addition of Medium-bands (SPAM), which studies how galaxies formed stars during cosmic dawn.
