Third Annual ‘Come As You Are’ Exhibit Opens June 7 At Fuller Lodge Art Center

LAAC NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos Arts Council is pleased to announce the opening of its newest exhibition, Come As You Are, in honor of Pride Month. The opening reception will be held on Friday, May 30th from 5-7 PM in the Fuller Lodge Art Center (2132 Central Ave) with the show running through June 20th.

Light refreshments will be served at the opening.

The third annual Come As You Are exhibit features nearly fifty individual works of art created by sixteen New Mexican artists including eight residents of Los Alamos County. These pieces explore themes of identity, self-expression, and community, and consist of mediums ranging from wood carving to acrylic on canvas.

In addition, a generous private donor has committed to match all donations to the Arts Council up to $5,000 through June 30 in support of the annual Missoula Children’s Theater and summer camp scholarships.
