Friday night, (February 28) something incredible happened in the heart of our town. Nearly 80 women of all ages and backgrounds gathered at Fuller Lodge for an event unlike any other—Ladies Night Out, hosted by Freedom Church Los Alamos (https://freedomla.church).
From young professionals to retirees, mothers and daughters, engineers and artists, women from across New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, and even the UK came together for an evening filled with laughter, connection, and powerful encouragement. The event featured Laura Busse, an author, speaker, and founder of The 3 O’Clock Wake Up Call (https://www.3oclockwakeup.com), who delivered an inspiring message about confidence, purpose, and faith.
A Community-Driven Movement
What made this night so special wasn’t just the sold-out crowd—it was the diversity of the women who attended. Across cultures, generations, and life experiences, the room was filled with a deep sense of belonging. Women who had never met before left with new friendships, encouragement, and a fresh perspective on what it means to be truly worthy, valued, and seen.
With activities like felt hat designing, a lively after-party with music and prizes, and moments of heartfelt worship, this was more than just a night out—it was an opportunity for women to step away from the busyness of life and be reminded of their value.
“We all need moments like this,” one attendee shared. “Life moves fast, and it’s easy to forget who we are and what we’re made for. This night gave us permission to pause, breathe, and remember that we are enough.”
The Impact Goes Beyond One Night
The momentum from Ladies Night Out is already continuing, with many attendees joining upcoming Freedom Church gatherings and groups designed to deepen connection and personal growth.
