The UNM-LA Bond Question passed 73% to 27%. The advisory board for the college asked Los Alamos County voters to decide on $3 million of general obligation bonds for campus improvement projects. The state will match the County’s $3 million in support with another $9 million, providing a total of $12 million towards UNM-LA capital improvement projects.

Advisory Board Chair Kristin Henderson on Tuesday evening thanked Los Alamos County voters for “supporting this important institution and allowing UNM-LA to make much-needed improvements to the infrastructure of the school, and to be able to access state funds to do so, as well”.

Henderson thanked fellow Advisory Board member John Pawlak for heading up the outreach committee for the bond question.
