State Rep. Christine Chandler (D-Los Alamos) filed for re-election in House District 43, which encompasses Los Alamos and parts of Sandoval and Santa Fe counties.

Chandler, who was elected in 2018, has successfully championed policies that provide earned sick leave for every worker in the state, make the state’s tax policies more equitable, provide relief to working families, protect the rights of LGBTQ+ New Mexicans, expand broadband access, and support the state’s transition to clean energy.

“It’s been an honor of my lifetime to represent our community and fight for working families in our Roundhouse,” Chandler said. “I am incredible proud of all we have accomplished together, but we have more work to do and I am ready to keep building a brighter future for our community and our entire state.”

Chandler serves as the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and Chair of the Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee in the 2024 interim. She also is a member of the House Taxation & Revenue Committee.
