Los Alamos Deputy Police Chief Oliver Morris this morning confirmed the death of a White Rock man in his mid-80s Tuesday evening. He was found near the Devil’s Hole area of White Rock Canyon.

Morris said the man was reported missing at around 5 p.m. and that his body was recovered later in the evening. LAPD detectives, Los Alamos Fire Department and the Office of the Medical Investigator were at the scene. The cause of death is under investigation and the man’s identity has not yet been released.
