FULLER LODGE NEWS

Adult classes at Fuller Lodge are in full spring swing! Sign up for a class or workshop and learn a new skill or hone an existing one. Classes are more fun with friends, so sign up as a group and let’s make art together!

Class Name: Georgia O’Keeffe: Art Up Close.

Teacher: Aralia Rose

Class Size: 10

Class Level: ages 15+ intermediate to advanced; students may want to have a basic background in sketching and different mediums.

This is a two day workshop taking place on Tuesday March 8 and Thursday March 10 at Fuller Lodge Art Center in an upstairs studio classroom.

Description: O’Keeffe has been quoted as saying, “Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven’t time, and to see takes time – like to have a friend takes time.” In this short workshop, we’ll practice looking closely. Using viewfinders, we will find an up close composition in a bouquet of flowers. We’ll discuss Georgia’s use of color and create our own unique piece of art.

A materials list will be sent along with email confirmation of registration.

There is a class materials fee of $15 per student due to the instructor at the time of the first class

This workshop will give students a closer look behind the face you see.

Anatomy is Art: Head and Face

Date: Saturday March 12 10:30-2:30

Class Description: Students in this four hour workshop will take a closer look at the head and face. The head, and its features, are easy to capture artistically when structure and anatomy are applied to your portraits. Perfect for entry level and up, this class builds on the basics and can be tailored for more advanced students.

Teacher: Jesus Quesada

Class Size: 5

Materials List: Drawing Pencils and Medium Drawing/Sketch Pad
