The Los Alamos County Public Works Department has decorated the County CommuniTree in the Municipal Building to promote February as Healthy Heart Month. 

February is American Heart Month, a time when all people can focus on their cardiovascular health. The CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention is shining a light on hypertension (high blood pressure), a leading risk factor for heart disease and stroke.

Regularly monitoring your blood pressure, with support from your health care team, can help lower your risk for heart disease and stroke.
