Trying times call for clever measures and the local senior centers hope they have found one. A long-planned, in-person baby shower was set aside as the senior centers. It is also of the utmost importance, that the health of Abbey Haywardand and her family is not jeopardized in the final weeks of her pregnancy. She is the Volunteer Coordinator for both centers, and has forged great relationships, since arriving in Los Alamos, during the pandemic.
The drive through event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday , Feb. 8. Community members are welcome to drop off cards or items for Abbey and her husband, Robert outside the lower level of the Betty Ehart Senior Center.
Cupcakes will be available, while supplies last. It will be a last chance to see Abbey before Baby Hayward arrives, in less than a month.
The centers thank Abbey’s and Robert’s parents for providing their baby photos.
