Rose Chocolatier in Central Park Square has some amazing Christmas items in their window made by adults in the community who belong to All Individuals First, a non-profit customized community supports (CCS) program for adults with developmental disabilities run by Doris Roberts.

All Individuals First is the only CCS program for adults in Los Alamos County designed to assist adults in the growth of their independence, strengthening interpersonal releationships, joining social networks and participating in typical community life, all while provideing a safe, caring atmosphere.

About 50 percemt of their time is spent out in the community – shopping, hiking, swimming, eating out, playing miniature golf, going to local parks, the library and museums. They also volunteer at thrift stores, day cares, senior centers and preschools.

The other 50 percent is spent doing arts and crafts, socialization, games, puzzles, cooking skills and just having fun. That fun includes making items such as the clever Santas and snowmen in the Rose Chocolatier and more in the Rose Chocolatier windows.
