XI NU CHAPTER NEWS RELEASE

The Xi Nu Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi International Women’s Sorority is holding its 34th annual craft fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road in Los Alamos

Beta Sigma Phi is a service sorority, and this event is the only annual fundraiser of the Xi Nu chapter. All proceeds are donated to charities, local, regional and international.

The event includes a raffle (not a silent auction) of items donated by the vendors, as well as a 57-inch by 72-inch Christmas quilt featuring a red pickup in the snow that was handmade by lifetime Xi Nu member Alice Garcia. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and the winners do not have to be present to win.

All of Xi Nu’s profits are donated to charities and are used to help support the Chapter’s designated community service projects in Los Alamos County and throughout Northern New Mexico. The craft fair is the only Xi Nu Chapter fundraiser of the year.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks are required, social distancing is urged and this year the number of vendors has been reduced to increase distance between adjacent booths. There will be many returning vendors not usually seen at other Los Alamos craft fairs.
