Christian Science Reading Room To Open Oct. 4

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE NEWS RELEASE

The community is invited to drop by the new Christian Science Reading Room at 800 Trinity Drive, Suite G (formerly Uli’s), in the Mari Mac Shopping Center. As of October 4, it will be open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Reading Room provides a quiet space to study the Bible, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Christian Science Church, and other Church publications, such as its international newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. A variety of Bible translations and reference books are also available for study as well as a lending library.

The Christian Science Church, also known as The Church of Christ, Scientist, is a Christian denomination, with the Bible and especially Jesus’ teachings at the heart of its practice. The Bible along with Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy serve as the pastor for this worldwide church. Readings from both books form the basis of Christian Science Sunday services, which are held at 10 am at the Society’s new location. Testimony meetings are held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:00 pm.

Members of the community are invited to visit the new Christian Science Reading Room and to attend the Society’s Sunday services and Wednesday meetings. For more information, visit the Society’s website https://www.cssocietylanm.org/ or call 505-709-7069. All are welcome.
