DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NEWS

The New Mexico Department of Transportation along with Cutler Repaving Inc. will begin a pavement rehabilitation project on Monday July 26, 2021, on US 84 in Abiquiu. 

Work will take place from mile marker 216 to 223.5. The 7.5-mile project is expected to last 27 working days and will include new pavement and striping.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., 6 days a week weather permitting. There will be traffic control personnel at each end of the closure, and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone. At the end of each workday, all traffic control devices will be removed, and the roadway reopened to motorists. 

Motorists should use caution, obey posted speed limits, expect delays and plan accordingly.
