DOT: Park And Ride Restores Service To Coincide With Rail Runner Schedule

DOT NEWS

The New Mexico Department of Transportation Park and Ride will increase service to support the reinstated full schedule on New Mexico Rail Runner Express on May 24, 2021. The trains will resume running on a full weekday and weekend schedule. Train capacity is limited to 25 percent or 160 seats. Visit www.riometro.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=277 for more information.

Santa Fe South Capitol and New Mexico 599 Rail Runner Station shuttles will connect with three morning northbound trains and three afternoon/evening southbound trains. The early morning Purple bus from Albuquerque will resume service. Blue, Purple and Orange routes remain slightly modified to connect with the South Capitol Station shuttles. Currently, there are no plans to resume service on the Turquoise Route.

To provide a safe environment for passengers and staff, NMDOT Park and Ride initiated procedures in March 2020 which will remain in effect for the duration of the public health crisis until restrictions are adjusted by government and/or health officials. Mandatory face coverings, extensive sanitizing of vehicles, hand sanitizer stations, vehicle air circulation, and social distancing measures remain in place.

To see all the procedures initiated by NMDOT Park and Ride, purchase monthly passes, or view the updated Park and Ride schedule please visit www.nmparkandride.com.

In addition, a new mobile ticketing app is available at tokentransit.com/app. Riders can still pay exact fare when boarding or purchase passes at the monthly pass vending locations.
