Enterprise Bank & Trust Provides 40 Backyard Composting Kits For PEEC

The free backyard composting program from Los Alamos County Environmental Services, Pajarito Environmental Education Center, Los Alamos Zero Waste Team, and Keep New Mexico True has been so popular that all of the compost bins were spoken for. Liddie Martinez of Enterprise Bank & Trust reached out to help and thanks to Enterprise’s generosity, 40 more households in Los Alamos will be able to begin backyard composting with lots of support and completely free supplies.

Registrants will receive free-of-cost a kitchen compost container to collect food scraps, a compost tumbler for their backyard, a brochure to answer the most common questions about composting, and magnets with quick tips for composting and food waste prevention. People interested should put their names on the waiting list by registering at https://peecla.z2systems.com/np/clients/peecla/event.jsp?event=36638&. Thanks so much to Enterprise Bank for helping more members of our community to start backyard composting!
